Two days before Raya

Yeah, over the last few days, the whole town has been congested with holiday-goers from outstations in conjunction with the long holidays ahead. Some were back for a "balik kampung" trip while some took the opportunity to go for island tours.
Chinatown
The Chinese restaurants here are making big business due to sudden surge of tourists. That economy rice shop auntie became so "Lansi" already.
Pasar Payang
The jam stretched all the way from town centre.
Raya goodies
A usual 10 minutes drive back to office took 1 blardy hour.

Batu Maung KTT

Koay Teow Th'ng, RM2.40 (Small)

It surprised me that nowadays we still could find such cheap meal in Penang.

Organic

Set Lunch with Brown Rice (low fat and low salt), RM5.50

I have been trying to eat more vegetarian food nowadays, in a way to control the hypercholesterolaemia, besides the statin and fibrate. No joke, this organic and vegetarians tasted like sands, but quite nice when the stomach is empty.

Turtle Alley

Here is the alley I am passing through everyday to go to Chinatown for lunch. It was only ready last month and it boasts some very nice craftsmanship.

Will be missing this place.
