After so much of publicity since last week, it seemed Giant was the first to slashed their prices this week, albeit 30%.

So today I decided to check out some of the items.

Unfortunately, items that are deemed 'essential' to me were not part of the so-called 1200 items with price slash.

For instance, Milo 400gm is still sold at the original price of RM6.99, Nestum instant cereal 500gm RM6.89 and Cintan mushroom instant noodle RM4.49.

My favorite Julie peanut butter crackers although was down to RM8.59 from RM8.99, however, there was a catch.

The original 15-packets packing was also slashed to a 12 packets!!!

What a cheap gimmick.

Anyway, I didn't really find anything cheap worth buying this evening and I wonder whether this was part of the reasons there weren't many shoppers as well.

Meanwhile, I am going to withhold my spending and to check out Tesco tomorrow.

Menacing subspecies

After reading this post from MMR, I felt so disgusted knowing that there is this subspecies called "mentally-challenged parkers" exist.

Here is the original posting to the above pictures.

Now Jalan Kejora

Yes, I am shocked too. I wonder what was the motive behind the name change?

Jalan Alor has always been synonymous with the Golden Triangle food haven.

Looked like DBKL has nothing more important thing to do than having a committee to study and change road names.

But then, with all the name change, why Kejora?

I thought it makes better sense if it is renamed Jalan YB Josephine, to commemorate her death, after she was assassinated by a member her political opponents.

She was also a Star, the Queen, the dog, fighter and advocate of proper road signage to reflect the multiracial and multicultural of our society.

Lrg Kulit

Every time when I go to any open market, I am only interested looking at plants and animals.
I can only admire these plants as I can't own them, as I live a nomadic life.
I once had to throw away my 4 generations Guppy and Platy fish. So sad.
This is the only place you can find fresh and cheap fruits. How I wish I own a fridge.

Giant fish

Every time, when we stopped by Yong Peng, I would come and take a peek at this gigantic fish.

Heart Sutra

For those who are interested.
Here's a You Tube video of The Heart Sutra sang by various HK artists.

I first heard this song in 1996.
